this morning is a trick
of focus, last night's solution to
the question of
distance, now asked
up close

which means
centering hard enough to
break the beautiful
into tiny masks worn
in and outwards

which means
risking that most soft
reason, the one fluttering
whispering its magic
name like two gods

following.
